This programme will help delegates build their knowledge and
practical skills in Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection
including knowledge of the certification process. This course will help
delegates to gain an understanding of the requirements contained in the
latest version of BS 7671 in relation to this type of work
This award has been SCQF credit rated by the SQA, and is approved to
SCQF Level 7 (This is equivalent to level 4 on the QCF scale).
This programme is made up of two separate training days. Part One
(Initial Verification) must be completed before delegates can attend
Part Two (Periodic Inspection & Testing)
Successful completion of the course is accepted by the SJIB for Grade Card renewal.

Candidates who have completed an Initial Verification qualification
(209 course or equivalent) within the last 5 years may be able to get
credit for this when working towards the Inspection and Testing
qualification. This will reduce the cost and the time needed. Contact

Note:
You are required to bring: Insulation/Continuity Tester, Earth Fault
Loop Impedance/Prospective Fault Current Tester and Residual Current
Device (RCD) Tester.
The above may be incorporated in one multi-function tester. All test
equipment brought to the course should be calibrated and in a safe
condition.
If you do not have
suitable test equipment available, it is suggested that you consider
hiring them, e.g. from your local wholesaler.
