This SQA approved training programme has been designed for practicing electricians who want to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date in relation to inspection, testing and certification of new electrical installations and additions and alterations.
The aim of this training programme is to help delegates build their knowledge and practical skills in Initial Verification and in the requirements for certification. This course will help delegates understanding the requirements contained in the latest version of BS 7671 for such work.
This programme is made up of two parts. There is a short online course on ‘Introduction to BS 7671’ that needs to be completed and delegates also need to successfully complete a one-day training course on Initial Verification of Electrical Installations to BS 7671 2018.
The online component complements the material that will be covered on the day-training course. To get the most from the training day we recommend that delegates complete the online course fully before attending the day-course. This part of the course must be fully complete before a SQA certificate will be awarded.
The online course should only take a few hours to complete. We will aim to register you for the online course within one working day of your booking. If you need any further information, contact the Training section on 0131 445 5577.
Successful completion of the course is accepted by the SJIB for Grade Card renewal.
